Local community organisations across the electorate of Moggill are celebrating after securing a combined total of $106,000 in funding through the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, supporting important local projects and strengthening local grass-roots organisations.
State Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, said the Crisafulli LNP State Government’s latest round of funding, delivering approximately $19.5 million to almost 800 organisations across Queensland, demonstrated a strong commitment to backing local communities.
“In the Moggill electorate alone, we are seeing $106,000 invested directly into local organisations that make a real difference in our community,” Dr Rowan said.
Successful local recipients include:
• Pullenvale State School P&C – $34,842 to construct a shed and purchase equipment
• Brookfield Show Society – $12,705 to upgrade facilities
• BlueCare Kenmore Aged Care – $28,393 to construct shelters
“These are practical, on-the-ground investments that will support students, strengthen community facilities, and enhance services for local residents,” he said.
“From school communities and local events to aged care services, this funding reflects the diversity of organisations that help make the Moggill electorate such a strong and connected community.”
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program, distributing more than $60 million each year to not-for-profit organisations.
Dr Rowan said the program continued to deliver meaningful outcomes for local groups and volunteers.
“I know just how much work goes on behind the scenes by volunteers and committee members to keep local organisations running, and this funding is a recognition of those efforts,” he said.
“I congratulate all successful applicants and encourage other local groups to consider applying in future rounds.”
