From Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 April 2026 is Queensland Youth Week (QYW) – celebrating
young Queenslanders and their spectacular achievements and contributions to our state.
This week-long event is packed full of exciting events and activities. If you’re aged 12-25
come along to an event and celebrate YOU! Check the QYW events calendar to find
events near you.
If you’re a council, a Queensland Government organisation or a youth organisation within
Queensland, we encourage you to plan an event to acknowledge, celebrate, encourage,
and empower the young people in our communities. Register your event to be featured on
the QYW website.
What’s on
Community event grants
Young Queenslanders, in partnership with a local community group or organisation, can
apply for grants of up to $10,000 (inclusive of GST) to help design and deliver impactful
community events during QYW2026.
These grants aim to empower young people to showcase their skills, achievements and
contributions to their communities.
Digital art competition
The 2026 Queensland Youth Week digital art competition celebrates the creativity and
talent of young Queenslanders and highlights the significant contributions they make to our
state.
Submissions close Sunday 22 March 2026.
Speak OUT survey
Young Queenslanders aged 12-25 can use the Speak OUT survey to have their say on the
