The Crisafulli LNP State Government is taking the next step in its election commitment, opening community consultation on an Integrated Road and Public Transport Plan for western Brisbane, giving locals a genuine say in shaping the region’s future road and public transport network.
After more a decade of neglect under Labor, the Crisafulli State Government is getting on with the job of tackling congestion and improving public and active transport for residents across Chapel Hill, Kenmore, Brookfield, Upper Brookfield, Pullenvale, Pinjarra Hills, Moggill, Bellbowrie, Karana Downs, Anstead, Mount Crosby, and surrounding suburbs.
The fully funded Integrated Road and Public Transport Plan for western Brisbane is a key Crisafulli LNP State Government commitment, with detailed community consultation now underway asking locals to share their experiences.
The Crisafulli Government is listening to locals and using their feedback to shape a long-term transport plan to guide future investment and improvements across Brisbane’s western suburbs, with a draft plan due in early 2027.
LNP Member for Moggill Dr Christian Rowan MP, said the plan delivered the next step in an election commitment to address congestion and improve transport options for Brisbane’s west.
“Western Brisbane has been crying out for better transport options for years, while Labor sat on it’s hands and watched congestion get worse,” Dr Rowan said.
“Whether it’s congestion on Moggill Road, boosting public transport services, or the need for safer active transport infrastructure, including for cyclists and pedestrians, this is a chance for locals to shape real, lasting solutions for our community.
“The Crisafulli LNP State Government is committed to getting Queenslanders home to their families safer and sooner, and consultation is an important step toward planning a transport network that delivers that for one of the fastest-growing parts of the South East.
“I strongly encourage residents to have their say before consultation closes on 29 May, to help ensure the final plan reflects the needs of the community.”
Details of pop-up events will be published on the TMR website and social media.
Online consultation closes 29 May 2026. To have your say visit: www.yoursay-projects.tmr.qld.gov.au/westernbrisbaneplan
