LNP State Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, has announced that under a Deb Frecklington LNP Government, $100,000 will be provided to the University of Queensland Football Club, Kenmore, to assist with the enhancement of sporting and club infrastructure
Dr Rowan said that the funding grant, to be provided should the LNP win the upcoming state election on October 31, was in addition to his existing and ongoing support of UQFC and other local sporting groups.
“UQFC is a vital local sporting group, utilised by many in our local community, however UQFC desperately needs additional funding to upgrade its changing facilities to ensure greater female participation, as well as deliver a container café to further service club members and visitors.
“That is why I’m delighted to announce that a future LNP State Government will provide $100,000 to UQFC in order to ensure that the club continues to offer first class services to its members and to the wider community,” Dr Rowan said.
“Only the Liberal National Party is committed to supporting our local sporting groups and delivering new infrastructure for the western suburbs of Brisbane, which has been let down and neglected by the Palaszczuk State Labor Government.” Dr Rowan said.
