The LNP has committed to delivering a New High School for local families in the electorate of Moggill, if elected to government next month.
LNP Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, said the $2 million commitment for a detailed business case and planning for a New High School would help deliver the programs and services needed to prepare for the future, of local students, parents, and families.
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Dr Rowan said.
“I am pleased to announce that a Crisafulli LNP State Government will fully fund, in its first state budget, a $2 million comprehensive business case, including the required planning work, for a New High School in the electorate of Moggill.
“Queenslanders need a fresh start, and this commitment is part of restoring a government that educates young Queenslanders, boosts our skills training facilities and puts more teachers in our schools.
“While Labor’s failures have seen approximately 40 per cent of students failing maths and literacy national standards, a statewide teacher shortage and attendance rates plummet.” Dr Rowan said.
Dr Rowan said Queenslanders could vote for a New State High School for the electorate of Moggill and a government which worked for them, by voting for the LNP at this election.
“Labor has comprehensively failed to deliver for the electorate of Moggill, including repeatedly rejecting community calls and local petitions to deliver a New High School for our local area. With the Greens hoping to form State Government with Labor, it is clear that only a Liberal National Party Government will deliver the infrastructure and services that families of the electorate of Moggill deserve.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to deliver the programs, training and services we need for the future,” Dr Rowan said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
