The LNP has committed to delivering a New Community and Neighbourhood Centre to support local community groups, not for profit organisations, and ensure important community supports can be delivered, for the electorate of Moggill, if elected next month.
Joined by the LNP’s Shadow Minister for Seniors, Communities and Disability Services, John-Paul Langbroek MP, LNP Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, said the $3 million commitment was part of the LNP’s focus on working harder for Queenslanders, while under Labor, Queensland was heading in the wrong direction.
“The LNP will restore a government that works for you, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future,” Dr Rowan said.
“A New Community and Neighbourhood Centre for the electorate of Moggill will ensure that local organisations can finally have the dedicated community infrastructure that they deserve.
“I have been a strong advocate for such a Community and Neighbourhood Centre, having worked consistently with our local community and not for profit groups to ensure that they can have access to dedicated meeting spaces and facilities to support their activities and programs.
“Labor’s failures have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots infrastructure like a dedicated Community and Neighbourhood Centre for local residents and community organisations in the electorate of Moggill.
“Queenslanders should have a government that delivers the programs and services needed for the State’s future, supporting our communities.”
Dr Rowan said Queenslanders could vote for a New Community and Neighbourhood Centre and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election. “Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to ensure the right focus on delivering the programs, services and communities for our state,” Dr Rowan said.
“Only the LNP stands ready to deliver a fresh start for Queensland.”
