On Friday the 25th of August, Dr Christian Rowan MP, the State Member for Moggill, treated seniors in his electorate to his annual Seniors Morning Tea.
It is always a special event but even more so this year as it was held during Seniors Week.
Over 650 guests enjoyed a lovely morning tea with guest speakers, Ms Melinda Emery from Home Instead Care and Ms Judy Magub from the Kenmore & District Historical Society. The Our Lady of the Rosary Junior and Seniors Choir and the Kenmore State High School Instrumental Group also performed and added to the enjoyment of the day.
Dr Rowan said he arranges this annual event to meet and thank seniors in his electorate of Moggill for the contribution they have made, and continue to make, not only to their families but also our local community.
“It was a special morning, and all seniors had a enjoyable time” Dr Rowan said.
“I very much look forward to hosting a Seniors Morning Tea again next year.”
