LNP State Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, has announced that under an Deb Frecklington LNP Government, $50,000 will be provided to local community environmental organisation, The Hut Environmental and Community Organisation Inc (THECA), if the LNP wins the next state election.
Dr Rowan said that the funding grant, to be provided should the LNP win the upcoming state election on October 31, was on top of the LNP’s already-announced local commitment of $225,000 in funding grants to support local creek catchment and conservation groups in the electorate of Moggill.
“THECA is an outstanding community environmental organisation dedicated to local bushcare, educational activities, workshops, and conservation projects, and their recent THECA Art Show was a great example of their work to engage more of our community with the local environment and conservation.
“That is why I’m delighted to announce that a future LNP State Government will provide $50,000 to THECA, to assist with its infrastructure needs and to support a number of its future environmental and conservation programs,” Dr Rowan said.
“In addition to the $225,000 I have already secured for local creek catchment groups, I’m pleased to have secured this additional funding commitment, for THECA, to continue the outstanding work by our local volunteers.
“The Liberal National Party is committed to preserving our local environment, and continuing our strong record of environmental protection, to ensure that our children, and their children, can enjoy Queensland’s natural beauty.” Dr Rowan said.
