In October, Chapel Hill Uniting Church is celebrating 150 years

Come and join us as at our Open Day on Saturday 12 October, and/or Anniversary Service on Sunday 13 October as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of our historic chapel and cemetery, and 150 years of Christian witness on this site.
ANNIVERSARY EVENTS
Saturday 12 October
Open Day: 9 am – 4 pm
- Historical display in the 150-year-old ‘Chapel on the Hill’
- Tours of the cemetery led by the Kenmore & District Historical Society (places are limited – please reserve your spot by obtaining a free ticket – see below).
- Stalls offering cakes, plants and craft; sausage sizzle until 2 pm.
- Opportunity to explore the church grounds and cemetery

Cemetery Guided Tours

Join us for a journey through the history of the area as we explore the stories of those laid to rest in this peaceful setting. Our guides will lead you through the cemetery, sharing tales of the individuals who helped shape our community. This in-person event is a unique opportunity to learn about the rich heritage of Chapel Hill. Don’t miss out on this chance to connect with the past and appreciate the beauty of our surroundings. We look forward to seeing you there!
Four tours are available between 9am – 3:30pm.
Cost: Your free ticket includes a tour and morning or afternoon tea.
Times: 9:30 am OR 11:00 am OR 12:30 pm OR 2:00 pm.
Bush Dance: 5:30 pm – 10-pm

Adults $30, primary students $10 – includes burger, dessert & drink.
Payment at the door on the night, but please register your attendance using the “Tickets” button, to assist us with catering.
Sunday 13 October
150th Anniversary Celebration Service: 8:30 am
Come along and celebrate this significant occasion with us. It’s also an opportunity to catch up with some past ministers and congregation members, and to share a special morning tea after the service. To assist with catering, please use the free “Ticket” button to reserve your place by 20 September.
