The Kenmore View Club recently celebrated a special “Luncheon at Tiffany’s themed event, to mark its 30th Anniversary, at the Bellbowrie Tavern.
Alongside special guests Betty Van Heeswiijck, VIEW Club National Councillor, Julian Simmonds MP, Federal Member for Ryan, and Dr Christian Rowan MP, State Member for Moggill, Kenmore VIEW Club President Anne Bamford hosted the luncheon along with more than 60 VIEW Club members from across Brisbane.
“We’re very proud that for 30 years, our VIEW Club has been able to continuously support the work of The Smith Family, including 28 years of supporting disadvantaged students.
“Currently, our club sponsors and assists with the education needs of 10 students, and I’d like to thank all our members, past and present, for their generous support.” Mrs Bamford said.
Addressing the luncheon, Dr Rowan paid tribute to the members of the Kenmore VIEW Club who have all contributed to its great success over the years.
“As the local State Member for Moggill and as the LNP Shadow Minister for Communities, Disability Services and Seniors, I’m fortunate to see first-hand the incredible work that is done by so many selfless members of the community, all of whom are united in their passion and desire to help others. The Kenmore VIEW Club is certainly no exception.
“As we celebrate this great milestone of 30 years today, on behalf of our local community can I again thank all VIEW Club members for all their hard work, particularly given the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, but also given their ongoing support of a number of students through The Smith Family, which is an independent charity helping disadvantaged Australian children get the most out of their education.” Dr Rowan said.
