State Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, has acknowledged the important role women play in the community on International Women’s Day 2018.
“As a community representative, I am privileged to work with so many fantastic women in the Queensland Parliament, the Moggill electorate and within the wider community,” he said.
Dr Rowan also recognised Liberal National Party Leader, Deb Frecklington MP.
“I’m privileged to be part of the LNP team with Deb Frecklington MP as Leader, as she sets a fantastic example for all of us.” Dr Rowan said.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2018 is “Press for Progress”, in recognition of the growing global movement of advocacy, activism and support for women’s equality.
“As a father of two daughters, my desire for them is to grow up knowing that their gender is no barrier to leadership or achievement,” he said.
