Today, Dr Christian Rowan MP, the State Member for Moggill,
welcomed that in the Federal Budget, over the next four years, total annual
Commonwealth funding to Queensland is increasing by around $6.7 billion
(including GST).
“Despite the tight budget conditions, the Commonwealth is increasing annual
funding for Queensland hospitals by 27 per cent over the next four years, on
top of growth of 9 per cent in 2014-15” Dr Rowan said today.
Dr Rowan also welcomed that “The Abbott Government is also increasing funding
to Queensland’s schools by 29 per cent over the next four years, on top of
growth of around 10 per cent in 2014-15”.
“These budget measures will have a positive flow-on effect for Moggill
electorate residents” Dr Rowan said.
