Today, Dr Christian Rowan MP, the State Member for Moggill, called on local residents to nominate a deserving Dad or Father-figure for Queensland Father of the Year.
“The aim of this award is to recognise the significant role fathers play in their children’s well-being and development and to raise awareness of the value of father’s in the family and the community”
“There will be 6 Regional Finalists awarded in regional ceremonies held following the close of nominations and the overall winner will be announced at a formal Award Ceremony on the 2nd September, in the lead up to Father’s Day on the 6th September” Dr Rowan said.
Nominations for the 2015 awards are now opened and will close 17th July, 2015.
The 2015 Queensland Father of the Year Winner and his family will win a Sea World Resort Holiday Package, with the person who nominated him winning an Apple iPad Mini.
