The Red Heart Campaign has been launched recently to provide support for women and children impacted by domestic violence.
The organisers of the campaign are currently seeking donations of toiletry care packs for children living in refuges or hotels as a result of domestic violence.
Donations of packs containing soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and towels will be gladly received in my office.
They are also seeking baby care packs containing nappies, baby oil, baby wash, wipes and nappy bags.
As we progress into winter, my office is also seeking donations of blankets and doonas on behalf of Auntie Jean, our local hardworking advocate for Aboriginal families. Auntie Jean does an amazing job in the community helping those in need, so if you have spare blankets or doonas taking up space in your house, we would be delighted to be able to pass them on to Auntie Jean.
All donations can be delivered to my office in Kenmore Village – or you can contact my office on 3737 4110 to arrange for them to be collected.
