LNP Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, today encouraged young people in his electorate to nominate for the 23rd YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament.
“It’s a great opportunity for any young people who are not only interested in politics but also the parliamentary system,” he said.
This year’s program centres on #yourvoiceheard, and will see 93 elected Youth Members given the chance to visit State Parliament, and to debate in the Parliamentary Chamber.
Dr Rowan said he looked forward to speaking with representatives and hearing their views on Queensland’s future.
“I think any opportunity to bridge the gap between what we do as legislators and our youth, from around the State, should be welcomed,” he said.
Nominations close on the 23rd of February.
