On Sunday, 11 November 2018, students, residents and families from across the Moggill Electorate came together to pause in silence, in commemoration of the Centenary of the Armistice.
At Bolton Clarke Fairview, Pinjarra Hills, Dr Christian Rowan MP, Member for Moggill, joined a large contingent of Kenmore State High School students, including the incoming 2019 School Captains and Vice Captains, along with more than 100 residents and locals for the annual Remembrance Day service.
Dr Rowan said the residents appreciated the performance from students of the school band, including a very moving live rendition of the Last Post, performed by the Kenmore State High School bugler.
“The students were a real credit to their school, families, and the broader community.
“It really was a service fitting for the Centenary of Armistice, and on behalf of the Moggill Electorate I’d like to express my sincere appreciation to all students for keeping this important tradition alive.” Dr Rowan said.
