LNP Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, today announced that an elected LNP Government would invest $175,000 in the Pullenvale Progress Association for restoration works to the ageing Pullenvale Hall.
“The works will include the construction of an outside deck, replacing the roof, window and door fittings and installing an AV system”, said Dr Rowan.
Formerly an old pineapple packing shed, the Pullenvale Hall was purchased from a local farmer in the early 1960’s and converted into a community hall and venue for every occasion. The Pullenvale Hall has been at the centre of the community of Pullenvale for over 60 years.
The Hall is available for community use, event hire (weddings, exhibitions, private functions, seminars, yoga and dance classes, pop-up restaurants, film nights, musical events and dances and so much more.
It is run by the Pullenvale Progress Association and is reliant on fundraising and donations to maintain it as a valuable community asset.
The Progress Association President, Julie Smith said ”We would be delighted to receive this funding as it would allow us to make the necessary improvements to the Hall so that it can continue to be an important part of the community. It is a beautiful Hall and we are very proud of its history and how it has again become a centre for the community to come together.”
“Not only will this restoration project bring improved social benefits to the community, it will provide jobs in the local area”, said Dr Rowan.
The only way these restoration works to the Pullenvale Hall will occur is if you vote for your local LNP Candidate, Dr Christian Rowan.
Only the LNP will better support Queensland families by building a Better Queensland.
“Restoration of the Pullenvale Hall is all a part of our plan to Build a Better Queensland by building a better Moggill Electorate”, said Dr Rowan.
The Pullenvale Hall restoration is just one of the many ways the LNP is building safe and liveable local communities.
