State Member for Moggill, Dr Christian Rowan MP, is calling on the residents of Moggill to come together and celebrate our State’s remarkable people and places, and reflect on our history and culture.
Dr Rowan said Queenslanders across the state are celebrating in a number of ways
- Communities are ‘painting their town maroon’ by lighting or decorating buildings and landmarks in the state colour, and residents can do the same to their homes, gardens and businesses
- Working Queenslanders can celebrate by hosting their own workplace event on Friday June 5 as part of the Queensland Day in the Office program.
- Free Queensland Week merchandise kits, including bunting and balloons are available to order for registered events and activities. Plus, there is an online resource pack with Queensland-themed games, quizzes, novelty decorations and photo props.
For further information about Queensland Week and how to get involved is available online at www.qld.gov.au/queenslandweek and residents can also engage
in the online conversation about #qldweek using Facebook (www.facebook.com/queenslandweek).
“I encourage all Moggill residents to find a way to join the Queensland Week
celebrations and put our state pride on display for all to see,” Dr Rowan said.
