Nominations for the 2016 Australian of the Year Awards are now open.
Nominations can be made across four categories:-
- Queensland Australian of the Year
- Queensland Senior Australian of the Year
- Queensland Young Australian of the Year
- Queensland Local Hero
Anyone can nominate a fellow Australian Citizen (16+ years) for the Australian of the
Year Awards. It could be someone in your own family, a friend, work colleague, or even someone you have never met but admire for the work that they do.
Nominations are open until Saturday 1 August, 2015, with Queensland recipients announced later this year.
These recipients will then represent our State at the national awards ceremony held
on the eve of 2016 Australia Day in Canberra.
