Dr Christian Rowan MP, the State Member for Moggill, today called on the community of Moggill to celebrate the success of local businesses by nominating them for the 2016 Telstra Australian Business Awards.
For 24 years the national Awards program has recognised the best of Australia’s small and medium businesses and helped entrepreneurs transform their businesses to new levels of success.
Dr Rowan said “Now is the time for the community to support local businesses by nominating them in 2016.”
“Our local businesses, and the people who run them, are central to the strength of our local economy. It is important for us to celebrate and continue to encourage their growth,” Dr Rowan said.
“It takes an enormous amount of sacrifice and tenacity to run a business. Nominating is a perfect way to recognise our local business success stories.
“Nominating gives deserved recognition to a business you respect and the opportunity to have them recognised among Australia’s best small and medium businesses.”
Dr Rowan said “I encourage everyone to get behind these unsung heroes by
nominating our local businesses to show the rest of the state the excellent
success stories we have here in the Moggill electorate.”
Every business that enters the Awards also receives a free individual 70-page Business Health Check report that evaluates their business performance and provides a platform to review business strategy and plan for future growth.
Entries open from 3 February until 23 March 2016.
Queensland winners will be named at the Queensland dinner and Awards will be presented on 15 July 2016.
