On Saturday, March 2, the Inner West Crime Prevention Unit are teaming up with our local 4070 Neighbourhood Watch to host a number plate security event at Moggill Village Shopping Centre.
Officers will be at the Shopping Centre from 9am to 11am providing crime prevention information and fitting one-way screws to your plates for free.
This simple step not only helps to reduce the theft of number plates, but also reduces the incidences that follow on from this theft.
Stolen number plates are often linked to petrol drive offs, break and enters, traffic offences and armed robberies.
Having one-way screws on your car’s registration plates is always encouraged, especially if you park your vehicle in a space which is easily accessible.
When: Saturday, March 2, 9am – 11am.
Where: 3366 Moggill Road, Moggill (Underground car park)
Cost: FREE!
What to bring: Your vehicle for free installation, or vehicle make and model and screws will be provided to you so the screws can be fitted at your own convenience.

Screws can be installed with an ordinary flat head screwdriver, but only removed with a specific tool.
